The rules

How Hype Points work

A plain-language guide to the one signal that orders Hypeory's boards — and to what it isn't.

Does the creator get the money?

No. You pay Hypeory for promotional placement. Creators don't receive the funds, and there's no financial relationship between you and them.

Is this a vote or a bet?

Neither. Hype Points are a promotional ranking signal — not money, an investment, a donation, a wager, or a game of chance. There's nothing to win.

When does the board reset?

On the 1st of every month at 00:00 UTC. Points from a closed season stop counting and can't be carried forward, transferred, or cashed out.

What if my payment is refunded?

The refund posts a compensating entry to the ledger and the creator's total drops by that amount. Nothing is edited or deleted.

Can the creator turn it off?

Yes. A verified creator can pause their profile, block new purchases, change division, or opt out permanently.

Is any of this hidden?

No. Every board is labeled sponsored, ties are broken by a published rule, and paid placement is never shown as organic popularity.

A promotional ranking signal

Hype Points are units Hypeory uses to organize eligible creator profiles during a season. They determine paid promotional placement during the current monthly season. They are not a quality score, endorsement, popularity vote, currency, investment, donation, prize, or game of chance.

Where points come from

Public ranking totals are the sum of valid paid Hype Points confirmed through verified payment-provider events, adjusted by append-only refund, dispute, chargeback, and fraud reversals. Pending, failed, canceled, fully refunded, disputed, chargeback, and fraudulent payments do not count.

How ranking works

Creators rank by valid paid Hype Points in the active monthly season. If totals tie, the creator who reached the tied score first ranks higher. Hypeory does not promise a specific current or final placement.

Every leaderboard is labeled as sponsored. Paid placement is never presented as organic popularity or editorial recommendation.

Seasons and resets

Each season is a calendar month in UTC: the board resets on the 1st of every month at 00:00 UTC. Hype Points from the closed season no longer count toward the active ranking and cannot be transferred, withdrawn, redeemed for cash, or carried forward.

Creator controls

Eligible creators can verify a profile, request corrections, pause their listing, disable purchases, change division, or opt out. Unverified profiles are clearly described as unaffiliated.
